DYNAMISER TAE 4000PA

The DYNAMISER TAE 4000PA is an exceptional microphone/guitar and instrument preamplifier. The tubes are driven at a full 140 volt DC potential to give them that real lively class A tube sound. The filaments are fed by a filtered DC voltage, thus reducing hum to a minimum. It has been designed around the 6SH7 Sharp-Cutoff Pentode and 6SF5 High-Mu Triode. Both were used widely during the 1940s' and 1950's. They were rugged and reliable and used in military and civilian designs of the era. This preamp ads a unique dynamic sound to your playing and recording endeavors. It has been designed with maximum control and adjustment in mind to allow the user the often needed ability to fine-tune that special one-of-a-kind sound.

A simple front panel toggle switch for bass suppression that can roll-off 8 decibels of bass at 300HZ to create a less boomy, more vivid and brighter audio product whether it be your voice or your favorite instrument or guitar. The DYNAMISER TAE 4000 is excellent for voice or music.

The input accommodates a 1/4 mono phone connector or a XLR (unbalanced) female connector. The output provides a 1/4 mono phone high out and a low impedance output from a cathode follower.

The controls include a microphone input level adjust, first triode stage drive control. The input stage also comes equipped with a panel-top screwdriver adjustable first stage cathode bias potentiometer. This feature allows the audio quality to be honed and tempered. The cathode follower function is controlled by a front panel cathode follower level adjust and a panel-top screwdriver adjustable cathode follower gain trim potentiometer. This allows you to dial-in the right level. There is a vintage jeweled glass pilot light indicator on the panel top to show operational status this adding a subtle nostalgic touch to your equipment stack or studio.

Please keep in mind that this preamp model does not contain a phantom power option.

The preamp is powered by a 12 volt AC 1.5 amp external wall type transformer. Located on the same rear panel with the ac power input there is a 1 amp fuse.
